Snow Trek 45 - ice fishing use
Didn't have a tipping issue with the sled at all. Walked about 1.5kms across frozen and snow covered lake Couchiching to our spot and had about 50lbs of gear in it. Most of the gear fit in the sled. The heaviest item, the 27lb Eskimo Fat Fish 949 ice shelter was strapped on top and off on one side of the sled. The shelter also extended past both the front and rear of sled and it didn't tip over once. Walked thru a small park with some hills and a curb at the parking lot and it didn't tip over. Even did a couple of 180 degree turns and all was good. For ice fishing it's a great sled.

good sturdy sled
I used this sled for a winter camping trip in Algonquin. I fitted rigid poles on the front and pulled it. It worked very well. The sled handled bumps over rocks, creeks and stumps and hardly scratched. It was able to hold a tent, sleeping pad, boots, food, cooking gear and small camp chair. This sled would be awesome over a frozen lake for anyone who ice fishes or any other adventure into the outdoors.
The sled sometimes rolls over if not packed with heavy gear on the bottom, but strapping objects in with bungies or rope helps keep things in place.
I recommend this sled.

Nothing wrong with this little sled
Great little sled!
Deep design holds lots of stuff, pulls easily and comes with a good strong rope.
This sled was the perfect size to fit in the back of my hatchback without folding the seats down..

Heavy duty
Was looking for a wooden sleigh for my kids. Couldn't find one of decent quality like they used to make. Bought this instead because it felt very durable. Once connecting a rope, it was very easy to pull and we used it for two kids tobogganing. Goes through the snow smoothly and although heavy weight plastic it isn't too heavy to pull. Only issue was that a rope wasn't included in mine.

Excellent Product
I bought this sled to help me pull wood for my fireplace during the winter and to pull behind me when we go snow shoeing. It's perfect! Strong and sturdy for carrying wood and light as a feather to haul behind you.

Built tough, high quality
I bought this sled for pulling my kids around in the snow and used it to slide down a hill. The sled comes with a rope to pull the sled. The material is thick and rigid, great for going for a stroll. This sled is not made for sliding down hills unless you don't mind going down the slope slower than using a crazy carpet.

Was wondering two things, 1- can this sled be towed behind a snowmobile? 2- can I attach grommets along the side to secure stuff too??
There is no hitch available for this sled to pull behind a snowmobile; you may attach grommets.

Where can I purchase a pelican trek 45 in Maine/USA?
The only stores that might carry these are Walmart and Dunham's. You can also try Amazon.

Is there a cover for the trek 45 like the one I have for my trek 60?
The Trek 45 does not have a cover. But it is made in a way that if you have a second Trek 45, they fit one on top of the other to enclose your cargo.

What is the inside width? Are the sides tapered (top wider than bottom)? I need to haul hay bales that are 18" wide.
The internal dimensions of this sled are 41" L X 16" W X 7" 3/4 H.
