THE CATCH 100

No doubt about it, this sit-on-top kayak collection is for the serious kayak angler. THE CATCH family features a Tunnel Hull granting amazing stability making it easy to stand while casting your lines and there is plenty of floor space to prevent you from tripping over your equipment. Well planned out accessories help keep everything conveniently stowed and these boats are light enough for most people to carry and launch on their own! THE CATCH 100 is specially designed for those looking for an easy to store option. At 10' long and 54 lb, this is the smallest member of THE CATCH family and is ideal for the smaller angler who only needs a 350lb total weight capacity. This angling kayak features our Ergocast G2 Dual Position Seating System™. A pocket on the backrest allows you to insert extra lumbar support with straps that adjust the level of support. Straps under the seat adjust to provide as firm or as soft a seat as you prefer. An elastic pocket and strap conveniently located on the seat allows you to keep your pliers, cutters and clippers close at hand. There is also a large pocket on the back of the seat to provide even more space to store your gear. Adjustable footrests will make paddling more comfortable and you can easily change your seat from paddling height to fishing height by simply slipping it into the higher slot. When you're ready to stand, simply flip the seat backwards to give yourself even more deck space to stand on. If you have any trouble, a centered stand assist strap will help you get into that standing position. Finally, anti-slip carpets will give you the extra traction you need to stand securely on a wet surface. THE CATCH 100 comes loaded with features all anglers will love. A front quick lock hatch works great for your equipment or a battery if you use a fish finder that can be easily mounted on either of the two rigging tracks included. There are two accessory eyelets, four flush mount rod holders and two paddle and rod tie downs that ensure you have enough room for multiple rods, nets and other fishing gear. Little convenient options have also been added to THE CATCH 100 like a set of 4 scupper plugs, a forward molded paddle rest, an angler ruler, and bottle holder. Finally, THE CATCH 100 offers a large rear tank well with bungee cords that will easily fit a milk crate packed with the rest of your gear. Our unique manufacturing process allows us to include additional flotation inside the hull of all of our sit-on-tops in order to meet or surpass ABYC Standards. This overall process keeps our kayaks lighter than the competition while making them even more solid and buoyant. Made with our patented RAM-X™ PREMIUM material, an exceptionally durable high molecular weight polyethylene that contains a top layer of advanced resin, which provides more rigidity while still being conveniently lightweight, THE CATCH 100 will provide years of fishing adventure sure to fuel stories worth sharing.

Reviews & Questions

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty cool Had this for a few months its cool pretty - stable paddling around but im 230lbs 6 ft tall and its pretty sketchy standing up on - i got in my buddy's $200 pelican sit in kayak and mine was way more stable but you sacrifice stability for speed especially when you have a big cooler full of beer bunjee corded on the back (which holds quite a bit) - also kind of cool to raise and lower the seat which is pretty comfortable but not sure why they dont make a higher back seat for all kayaks to relax better - only complaint really is that for $650 it doesnt come with a friggin paddle but the $200 models do??? Cmon man

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall great yak for the money Very solid construction Lighter than most in its class considering all the extras. Front hatch not a dry box but excellent for extra storage and perfect for hull mount transducer for my fish finder. Handles fairly well stability wise in the Gulf, though if paddling a long way, it's a bit like paddling a tugboat. That's the trade off though for high stability. I would definitely recommend this as a great starter yak for minor salt fishing inshore and excellent for ponds and rivers. It accomplishes the mission of getting you on the water and fishing, as well as giving you a bit of durability and style.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really enjoy this kayak. This is my first kayak and it felt kinda tipsy my first time out, so next day I put it in my pond and worked at tipping it over and at 210 pounds I ended up falling out before it rolled over. Only thing is that it does not come with a paddle and the one I bought was too short for the width of the kayak. I really like the height of the seat and how comfortable the 2 hours of fishing was. It is affected by the wind but a little anchor fixed that. Was able to get minnow bucket, tackle box and wiener dog all loaded and easy to reach. Liked the pads on the floor and pull up strap, makes standing up easy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Had the fortune to try out this Kayak before I bought one, not disappointed at all. I do bird Photography and upgraded to this one for more stability. love it., yes it is not made for white water as someone posted above and am sure it will take on some water splashing over the front on a windy day, guess what, so does every other kayak, what do you expect and yes it will blow around like every other one, its only 10 ft. anyway, I have no problem taking my big lens camera out with me like I did with my other Kayak just needed a little more room, Just use common sense !! would recommend this to anyone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great yak, needed better tracking, here,s the fix. Tracking was the only thing that was a problem, not real bad ,just wanted better! Order a Skeg , less then 20 dollar , 100 % fixed. Glued the base on , it was a 8 inch skeg ,cut 3 inches off , left the screws out ,drilled the hole out to 1/8 inch n tied a paracord to it. OK HERES WHAT IT DID! Before with wind blowing hard the kayak would go backwards across the lake, with the Skeg on it goes across the lake front first. Hard to believe the difference it made! That was the simplest way for me to describe it, but so much better! PERFECT YAK NOW! The review by Danny is correct!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from outstanding kayak This kayak is hands down, the best fishing kayak you can buy for your money. It is very stable, lightweight and has many nice extras such as scotty tracks, multiple flush mount pole holders and great storage. You cannot get a better fishing kayak for the price. nothing is even comparable. Modifications were easy because the hull is built of a strong ramx material. Cant say enough good things about this kayak.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First Kayak This is my first kayak,I did extensive research and then saw this kayak online and was a little apprehensive at first but saw some reviews and videos online decided to buy this one.I have it for about a month and taken it out for or five times, I truly love this kayak. Very stable and comfortable, great stability on the water and on your back.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very stable I bought this kayak about a month ago. I’ve taken it out 4 times now. This is a very stable kayak, not as fast as some, due to its design, but I was more into not flipping over. The seat is comfortable and I have been able to fish for long periods of time. I’ve only taken it out on a 350 acre no wake lake-perfect for kayaks. I’m hoping to get it on a river soon. if you buy this kayak you need to get a long paddle due to the kayak being wide. I bought a 98” paddle at academy and it seems to be wide enough.

Will a 230cm paddle work with the Catch 100 kayak?

Asked by: Fish365
The paddle used depends on your height and what you are comfortable with. A paddle that is too short will hit the edges of the kayak and you will not get too far.

How well does this kayak do on a bigger lake? 60ft max depth, 60km2 ? would a l2 foot kayak suit me better, or does the catch 100 handle it?

Asked by: tyler
Both kayaks are great! You would be fine with the Catch 100 however if you want a little more stability its always best to go for the longer version.

Is the Catch 100 being discontinued?

Asked by: Cindy57
The Catch 100 is not discontinued. Being a very popular model it sells really quickly in stores at the beginning of summer which makes it harder to find this time of year.

Is the Catch 100 good for standing and fishing? Largemouth bass, big long casts and hard hook sets.

Asked by: cspauldo
They're very stable to stand and fish that's the first thing I did when I bought mine. You dont even need the assist strap.

I will be doing primarily river fishing with some mild to moderate rapids. I need a kayak that's comfortable enough for me to be able to do 7-10 hr float. Will this Kayak take the rapids well enough ?

Asked by: Kenny
Me and my brother do class 1s and 2s in west Virginia actually and they handle pretty well and really tough. On my 2nd year with it and love it.

I bought the Catch 100 from Academy in Abilene TX last week; however, it came with 3 scupper plugs and absolutely no paperwork.  Does the Catch 100 come with any paperwork?  Is there somewhere online to download the documentation?

Asked by: JimmyG
All the manuals and parts lists are available on this same page under Documentation Hope this was helpful!

Does the Catch 100 come with paddles or do they need to be ordered separately?

Asked by: SusiT
This depends on the dealer, some might have package deals that include the paddle. Others might sell them seperately.
