can you buy just the rod?

I just hit a log that was under the surface and broke my fin rod, can I buy just the fin rod, that's all I need to replace

Will this actually fit a hobbie mirage drive?

The entire Hobie drive will fit the Pelican kayak, but the fin rod is not compatible. I had a long and sort of a rude talk with a Hobie shop owner who finally showed me the difference. The Hobie's fin mast (Hobie term) is thinner than Pelican's fin rod. I barely ran into a sandbar on mine and that bent one rod, snapped the other off, and bent the drive shaft. I called Pelican to see if they sold just the rod and drive shaft and the rep I spoke with said she (I won't mention names but you know who you are) would look into it and get back to me the next day. It's been a week and I still haven't heard back from her. I know the whole drive system is new to Pelican, but if they want people to buy the kayak, they really need to inspire confidence and provide better support. Make ALL the parts available individually so that customers know they can repair the kayak as needed.
