THE CATCH 110 HYDRYVE II by Pelican brings pedal drive technology within reach on this 10’6” rudder controlled fishing kayak. Made with our proprietary RAM-X™ Premium, a multi-layer polyethylene with an advanced resin in the top layer imparting a glossy finish and providing significantly more rigidity than standard polyethylene, The Catch 110HDII remains light, stiff, strong, easy to move, and is ideal for those between 5’ and 6’4” tall. At only 67lbs, you won’t need any help to load this kayak as you head to your favorite fishing spot.

The HyDryve II pedal system makes maneuvering in shallow water or around aquatic plants, an absolute breeze, and by using the power of your legs, you’ll be able to go for long distances without getting tired.

We have made several improvements on this new drive, such as the use of 2205 stainless steel rods, stronger aluminum pedal arms, improved sprocket design, and a redesign of how rods are mounted into the core. To prevent damage to the actual kayak, we have specially designed an independent housing in which the HyDryve II sits. This ensures if too much torque is applied to the pedal drive, the kayak remains undamaged and the housing is easily replaced. The HyDryve comes with a one-year limited warranty and features adjustable pedals as well as adjustable foot straps to ensure a comfortable position. Also, our footrests are double-sided and optimized for either barefoot use or use with boots and shoes. And, while you have to reverse the HyDryve II to go backward, we have made sure that insertion and removal of the pedal drive are simple and quick.

The Catch 110HDII provides the same quality and durability you have come to expect from The Catch family. We have packed this kayak with the convenient features you love like multiple flush mount rod holders, several rigging tracks, bottle, and tackle box holders, accessory eyelet, an 8” day hatch with storage bag, and two tank wells for easy storage.

Our patented hull design still provides a high level of stability to ensure an easy and relaxing sight fishing experience. We’ve also included our most recent and most comfortable Ergocast G2™ seating system. A pocket on the backrest allows you to insert extra lumbar support with straps that adjust the level of support. Straps under the seat adjust to provide as firm or as soft a seat as you prefer. An elastic pocket and strap conveniently located on the seat allow you to keep your pliers, cutters, and clippers close at hand. And, there is a large pocket on the back of the seat to provide even more space to store your gear. When you're ready to stand, simply flip the seat backward to give yourself even more deck space to stand on.

Our unique manufacturing process allows us to include additional flotation inside the hull of all of our sit-on-tops to meet or surpass ABYC Standards. This overall process keeps our kayaks lighter than the competition while making them even more solid and buoyant. Made with our patented RAM-X™ PREMIUM material, THE CATCH 110HDII will provide years of fishing adventure. The wait is over. It’s time to create stories in your own pedal drive, fishing kayak. THE CATCH 110 HYDRYVE II, making the dream a reality!

Reviews & Questions

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great fun, but seat broke. Great kayak and lots of fun. The strap on the seat broke within the first hour on the lake, though. Will have to figure out how to get this repaired or replaced during a pandemic...that should be fun! The rudder wasn’t exactly easy to assemble, but we finally got it right. The pedals seem to work well. We were having a great afternoon on the water until the plastic buckle broke on the strap that supports the back of the seat. We were able to use a piece of dock line to rig it good enough for the day, but we just stuck to our little cove. Wouldn’t want to go far with it like that. You need the back of the seat for stability to be able to pedal hard enough for a good distance. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best kayak is the one you use. I just sold my center console fishing boat. A week later I was looking to see what was out there in the kayak world and saw this. I researched it and bought it. I have owned 4 boats and a kayak before this one. I have fished for a lot of decades and probably always will, but the main reason I bought this kayak was to get more exercise. So this kayak is perfect for me. Today was my first time on it. I pedaled around and fished for 2 hours. I was pedaling for about an hour and a half of that time. Aside from a couple of all out sprints, I pedaled at a leisurely pace and covered a lot of water. After about 30 minutes on any kayak you will only be thinking about 1 thing. The seat. This seat is really good. I did not stuff anything into the lumbar pocket. I will next outing. I did adjust the side straps every 15 minutes or so to vary my seat position to keep the blood circulating in my legs and back. I also tried to paddle the kayak out curiosity. It felt like a waste of time compared to how efficiently pedaling was propelling me. At one point I got snagged on the bottom. I had to flip the pedals around to reverse out. It worked easily as advertised. I liked the layout of the kayak and used most of the amenities. I had 2 different drinks in the 2 drink holders. A knife and a baggie of fish bites in the seat bottom pockets. A large tackle box in the well behind me. 2 rods in the holders. And a towel in the seat back pocket. I have ordered a small dry pack for the front well. So far I have no complaints. My favorite features of this kayak in order: the seat, excellent. The size and weight, perfect. I have had a large heavy kayak in the past. I loved it but after a while I stopped using it because it was to much work to load unload and get in and out of the water. I can carry this kayak with one hand and it fits in a short-bed pickup without sticking out of the back too far. But it’s still big enough to have a good weight capacity and decent speed and maneuverability. The rudder works fine. I’m glad the size of the handle was increased. I would like it if it was even larger. I like that the rudder parks on top of the kayak. I would worry about banging it up if it was on the bottom. My only complaints so far: the lack of holes for a stake out pole. There is a scupper in the back but it is too small. Also if you catch a lot of fish i’m not yet sure where they could go. I guess you have to limit what you carry with you to leave room for a fish bag. Minor gripes: i’m not a fan of the orange bungy chords and carry handles. You might be rolling your eyes but when you shop for your life vest, oar, various other gear you aren’t going to be picking orange items. For me I have a grey boat with mostly yellow gear and it looks bad with the orange. Other gripe I wish the forward rod holder faced forward. I have ordered an anchor and anchor trolley, and a drift anchor, In conclusion. Great seat. Great size compromise between storing it and getting to the water vs maneuverability and ride quality. It doesn’t look like there’s much but when you fish this kayak you appreciate the amenities and the layout. I did have this in pretty rough seas on the Texas Inter-coastal waterway. Winds, current, waves were all pretty high today. This kayak handled fine. That was a question of mine about this boat. Now I have no worries. I don't know why all of the ads and professional reviews show this boat in smooth waters. I will not hesitate to go out into the Gulf of Mexico in this kayak. Just tie everything down and practice flipping the boat just in case, but I am not worried. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features and price. When the Hobie patent expired, Pelican was able to introduce this type of pedal kayak where the paddles allow you to go through really shallow water (prop type would have hit bottom). The drive seems smooth and the kayak is reasonably fast through the water. Pedaling definitely makes fishing easie, although you would have to turn the drive around to go in reverse. Easy to stear rudder. Lots of storage and room on the kayak. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great budget peddle kayak I took this out twice so far. Stability was pretty good and weight was manageable. speed is slower than your single haul kayak but it does track better with the rudder. It's good if you want to upgrade your existing starter kayak for more comfort and free up your hands for fishing. A couple minor things for me are: The drive was a bit tight so I had to loosen it a bit, the rudder cable was very hard to pull expecially during deployment. the main handle in the middle is rivetted and when I lift it feels loose, I hope this doesn't stress the material too much and break off at some point. And it would be great if there's another handle on the other side as well incase if I need to portage it on my back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Starter Pedal Kayak! Used a few outings so far and its been awesome! Affordable and should last a long time! Floated down a river with multiple shallow spots and when you kick the fins up you don't even hit bottom! You can also remove the drive easily of needed! Tracks well and stability is there for my size of a person. If you want a little more stability, go with the 130. No complaints on the yak itself and the Hydryve II system has been working great with the new upgrades over the old dryve. The orange cables on the drive squeaks after some use but loosen the cables and spray on Molykote 557 (only approved silicone by Pelican) on the moving parts and squeak goes away! Thanks Pelican! I jad my Catch 120 for 3 years and this one should last even longer!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great kayak. Worth the money This kayak is awesome. It has so much storage and room for your person. I’m 6ft 240lbs and I fit in perfectly. I attempted to stand and I can but it doesn’t feel sturdy while standing. Overall it’s great but I gave it 4stars because it’s not sturdy enough for standing for me and the pedal drive don’t go in reverse unless you turn the whole drive around. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Value Kayak does everything that more expensive Kayaks do at a much more reasonable price, Easy to use, light weight, good value. Put the Kayak to use just a few days after purchasing and was impressed with the pedal drive unit and responsive rudder. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good beginner kayak My husband and I decided to purchase a tandem kayak to see how we would like doing it. Its maneuvers alright. There are only two rod holders which made things a bit difficult considering be like to bring about 4 poles. The front seat is buckling, making the ride in the front very uncomfortable and I am only able to sit there for about 2 hours. It doesn't seem like there is enough support. However, we have decided to continue kayaking, but we will upgrade. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Is there a way to make deploying and lifting the rudder up easier while in the kayak on the water? Mine takes brute strength to deploy and pull up using the rope/cable.

Is there a plug for the hydro electric hole so it can be used with a paddle alone?

Asked by: Justin1135
There is not a plug, this is called a scupper hole. It allows you to remove the drive and paddle without water coming up.
