Reviews & Questions

Rated 3 out of 5 by from You get what you pay for I bought this last week. It was what I could afford. Have I tipped it? You bet. It’s not a high dollar fishing kayak but it has gotten me to spots I can’t fish from the bank. Both my kids seem to enjoy it. It’s a staring point. If you want a stable boat- spend more and get what you pay for. I’m 51 and insane because I paddled about 5 miles the first time out on a BIG lake in heavy wind, with both chop and boat wake. But I’m living. And I’ll find where the linkers are hiding in this thing. Be safe all

I have the Angler 100XP Angler Kayak and was wondering if the Circle shaped indention in front of the seat could have another hatch installed there just like the one in the bow, and if so what parts would be need to do this?

Asked by: WileyPossum
Yes, it's design for that. SKU PS1470 is the right part to use. But drilling a hole in your kayak will affect your product warranty. https://www.pelicansport.com/us_en/ps1470

My hubby got me a 10ft icon 100 angler for Christmas I have yet to get it in the water and what I need help with is how do I best stow it. I am 5ft 5in and not very strong I could not carry it over my head.

Asked by: NewV
We recommend to store your kayak in a dry area, away from direct sunlight on a flat surface right side up. You can use the kayak cart for transportation.

What level of whitewater would this work on and still be somewhat stable?

Asked by: Mike62
None of our models are made for whitewater. We recommend to use in calm water such as lakes.

I am 6ft 3in and debating about getting this 10ft kayak because i feel i may not fit. What do you think? Will someone my height be comfortable?

Asked by: Mr Fig
The maximum weight capacity is of 325 lbs. Other than needing to respect the max capacity, the only disadvantage would be within the footrests, you might need to extend them to the furthest extension and you might lack some knee space. Also, the level of stability of the kayak might deminish. I highly recommend a 12 foot kayak, I have copied the link to all our 12 foot angler kayaks. https://www.pelicansport.com/us_en/products/kayaks/kayaks-fishing?cockpit_type=21 Look forward to seeing you on the water!

I was wondering if I could mount a top fitting seat in the Icon 100x.

Asked by: Fftce67
We do not recommend to mount this kind of seat because the hull is not built to maintain such weight. We would not want you to damage your boat in any way.
