Reviews & Questions

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little fishing boat. Light enough to load by myself. Stability is exceptional for such a small boat. Much easier to load and go than my bass boat. Shallow draft to get into the hard to reach spots. Much nicer in flooded timber than a full size rig. It's only real Handicap is controlling it in the wind. After a little practice thats not to bad. My Raider 10e has lived its life in the Florida sun it's a 2010. With the exception of a few scratches from hard use, It still looks new. I'll buy another one if I can ever manage to kill this one. Its holding on strong.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best small bassboat I've had my Bass Raider for 5 years now. Caught over 450 bass with it. Gets on any lake since you don't need a boat ramp. Can set it up for one or two people. If something happens to my boat I'll go right out and buy another one. Don't think I'll ever have to since this thing is made so well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding quality, safety, and FUN! Incredible stability for a small craft. Love the light weight and size, fits perfectly in back of most pick up trucks. The seats and other amenities are great. A craft for one or two people to spend all day on the H2O. Thank you Pelican for a boat load of fun!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little boat Very stable in the water. I've had two big men in this boat and had plenty of room. Very shallow draft. Easily customizable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great boat best for the money only thing I dont care for is how it's hard to drive straight in the wind but that's a given on a light boat

My pre-wired fuse holder for the trolling motor melted last year. What size fuse should I be using? I'm using a minn kota endura C2 50lb thrust trolling motor. thanks

Asked by: outdoorman91
2.5 HP & 30 lb thrust is all that we are able to recommended. Heavier than this can damage your boat. Since we do not manufacture boats with motors, we cannot say exactly which motor is compatible.

With regard to the Pelican Bass Raider, the max motor spec is a 3.5hp? Is this because the transom was only tested for this size of engine or that design of the boat can only handle a certain speed?

Asked by: Jeremy
This is the weight we recommend, heavier than this the motor can either fall off or damage your boat.

how does it go thru the water when using a Kayak paddle on ponds that do not allow a motor?

Asked by: Olegunny
It’s kinda wide at 50 inches you would probably want rowboat paddles or a canoe paddle kayak paddles would be a lot of leaning from one side to the other over 4feet to paddle

How shallow of water will boat float?

6” maybe a little less but all depends on how many people and what they weigh

For the bass raider 10 e. What is the appropriate shaft size for a transom mount trolling motor. I am currently debating between a 36 inch vs 42 inch minn Kota. Thanks

Asked by: Boyce
I am using a 42 inch minn Kota in mine seems a bit much but works good with plenty of adjustments up and down and fits over the seat also so it’s kinda nice

What is the height (without seats) of the Bass Raider? Trying to determine if it will slide under my truck bed cover.

Asked by: Sam
Just under 19 inches you should be good with at least 2” to spare in my 1998 f150 with the styleside bed very small bed but fits just perfect
