lake fishing boat
This boat handles well and the midi placement of the battery balances the weight better than my old V hull. I am a bit disappointed, though, that I cannot leave the boat tied to my dock. If I do and it rains, it fills with water BETWEEN the outer and inner shells. I have to take it out of the water every time I use it and tip it on it's side to keep it sea (lake) worthy. Since it weighs about 160 lbs, this is rather a nuisance. Otherwise, it's a great little boat. I do wonder what on earth the manufacturer was thingking when they made the interior WHITE. I guess they've never fished :-)

Horrible boat. Takes in water.
I bought this boat a few months ago and have only used it twice. The first problem was that it cannot be left in the rain at all. As soon as the water fills above the drain plug level the water will leak in between the hull and the lining. The only way to remove the water is to drill a hole in the lining and put in a hose to suck it out. The second problem is that the front hull drain plug also intakes water. I took the boat out on the water and within 15 minutes it was taking in water under the lining. The lining started to deform and pop up and I could feel the water under it when I pished it down. Don't buy this poorly designed boat.

Predator - Pelican 10'3"
Great little boat for fishing in ponds and calm lakes. I put a 2.5 Hp outboard on it and it really moved. I use a trolling motor in the ponds and it is more than sufficient (40lb thrust on 12 volt marine battery) . I got about 6-7 good hours using the trolling motor on one battery. The boat is seats two - I'm 250 and it had no problem with me and my gear. I was able to man-handle it into the back of my F150 with the tailgate down

Love the boat!
Bought the boat about a months ago and love it. Really stable, 6 hp Yamaha pushes it great. The only thing I would change on the boat is the positioning of the lids on the live well and battery box. The seats have to be turned a certain way to open the live well or battery box. I'm sure installing a seat that isn't as wide would remedy that but I haven't gotten around to trying it. Overall great boat

Pelican Predator 10'3 Fishing Boat
I had one of these boats. I loved it,but when it rained the 2 compartments would fill up with water and go into the hole the wiring came through for the battery. Then it would get inside the hull. If they would do something about that it would be a great little boat for a older person like me. I had to tarp it every time it would rain when I was camping. Put it under a shed at home. Would love to have another one,if they would fix the compartment lids [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Great boat for pond fishing
Had this boat a year and love it on my 8 acre pond. I use it on a 30 lb thrust trolling motor and it does great with 2 people. It's stable enough for two big guys to stand up and fish. The seats are not the greatest but certainly not uncomfortable and swivel nicely.
I think a lot of the complaints are a little unreasonable for an $800 boat. It's not made for luxury or amenities, it's just a pond hopper. The pre-wiring is a nice option and I also have a small fish finder hooked up to the 12v battery. Don't use the live well for anything but to hold beer. Nice option.
No leaking problems as I've read with some here. I simply pull it out of the water after use, spray it with the hose and wipe it down with a towel. Done. I do store it under cover but still it's outdoors and no problems so far with summer heat or winter cold.
I recommend this to anyone looking for access to ponds and small lakes at a minimal expense.

great little fishing boat for river creek fishing
love this little boat .my wife and I troll the river catch fish all day .prewired for electric motor and fish finder. very stable. only complaint would be seat needs cushion but we purchased a float cushion that works great. we have a 2.5 hp motor and a 55lb thrust electric boat cruises around very well .Not fast but very stable .would recommend for hobby fisherman .sometimes I just use the electric motor and it pushes boat along very well and battery box with strap is very handy to stop and get out of your way
