SPRINT 120XR

The SPRINT Recreational Performance Sit-in Collection has been specially created for those looking for better performing hull designs.

With a Deep V Chine Hull and 12’ long design, the SPRINT 120XR is made for those looking for a little extra capacity, for even better tracking and return on effort, increased secondary stability so choppy conditions won't be a problem and, better responsiveness to shifts in body weight and position.

The SPRINT 120XR is made with our patented RAM-X™ PREMIUM material, an exceptionally durable high molecular weight polyethylene that contains a top layer of advanced resin, which provides more rigidity while still being conveniently lightweight. With ergonomic carrying handles and at only 50 lb, you will find this 12' recreational performance kayak easy to load and carry around. The SPRINT 120XR comes equipped with a stern bulkhead for those times where extra flotation comes in handy. This will ensure you're able to bail out any water and get back in to continue your adventure. Convenient and upgraded accessories such as the 4"" day hatch and bottle holder in the cockpit table ensure that your gear is within easy reach or safely stowed away in the rear quick lock hatch. There is also room on the deck to strap down your gear with deck-mounted bungee cords. The addition of a conveniently placed bottle cage will keep you properly hydrated as you venture forth. It's time to take your kayaking to the next level with the SPRINT 120XR!

Reviews & Questions

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Small dry pouch is garbage. Dry bag design is terrible, flimsy plastic ring to retain bag doesn't work. Cost me a cell phone and key fob. Exactly what it is advertised for to keep secure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Always a good time My buddy bought this for me. it was insane, that he did it, but it's been awesome I have taken it everywhere, down rivers creeks on lake and the ocean. Great Kayak. except the drink holder on the side, I thought it was a return to Canadian tire, because the screws didn't match, but nope it's in all of them.

I am interested in getting the Pelican Sprint 120xr. I live in Indio Ca. how would I do this?

Asked by: Papa Georgio
Unfortunately, we have no visibility on in-store inventories. Our products are generally purchased by head offices and sent from their distribution centers through to their stores. We recommend that you use the retailer locator and call them directly for in-store availability details. https://www.pelicansport.com/ca_fr/storelocator/index We only sell our boats through retailers; there is no possibility to buy directly from Pelican. With the end of the summer season, many dealers will be ordering their new inventory in March 2021. We suggest that you check with them at that time.

Since the drain plug is behind the stern bulkhead, how does it function? Can water from the bow or cockpit exit from the drain plug?

Asked by: John Q
So what is the truth? Water is flowing or not? The client wrote on one page: "Only downside is that I can’t figure out how to get splashwater out of the cockpit. The drain plug is in an area where the water can’t get. So I now carry a small bilge pump." Please, provide detailed infomation from the Pelican team. Thank you.

Just picked up kayak and noticed white styrofoam mold under seat. Is this supposed to stay or just for shipping purposes as I can’t seem to figure out how to remove it?

Asked by: Lori
Hi -- I think it is supposed to stay in place for added flotation and support for the seat.

I am 5 ft. 10 in., 205 pounds. Is this kayak, Sprint 120XR, a good fit for my size?

Asked by: DRhody
I have had the ancestor of this for over two years and I weigh 195 lb. I have the Escape model which _seems to have been made on the same mold. This is a stable model that you can tip a bit to initiate turns and correct your heading. This is a good boat that moves well and is very maneuverable.
