For all fishing enthusiasts, the Pelican Premium CATCH 100 is an amazing fishing kayak. Read more
No doubt about it, this sit-on-top kayak collection is for the serious kayak angler. THE CATCH family features a Tunnel Hull granting amazing stability making it easy to stand while casting your lines and there is plenty of floor space to prevent you from tripping over your equipment. Well planned out accessories help keep everything conveniently stowed and these boats are light enough for most people to carry and launch on their own! THE CATCH 100 is specially designed for those looking for an easy to store option. At 10' long and 54 lb, this is the smallest member of THE CATCH family and is ideal for the smaller angler who only needs a 350lb total weight capacity. This angling kayak features our Ergocast G2 Dual Position Seating System™. A pocket on the backrest allows you to insert extra lumbar support with straps that adjust the level of support. Straps under the seat adjust to provide as firm or as soft a seat as you prefer. An elastic pocket and strap conveniently located on the seat allows you to keep your pliers, cutters and clippers close at hand. There is also a large pocket on the back of the seat to provide even more space to store your gear. Adjustable footrests will make paddling more comfortable and you can easily change your seat from paddling height to fishing height by simply slipping it into the higher slot. When you're ready to stand, simply flip the seat backwards to give yourself even more deck space to stand on. If you have any trouble, a centered stand assist strap will help you get into that standing position. Finally, anti-slip carpets will give you the extra traction you need to stand securely on a wet surface. THE CATCH 100 comes loaded with features all anglers will love. A front quick lock hatch works great for your equipment or a battery if you use a fish finder that can be easily mounted on either of the two rigging tracks included. There are two accessory eyelets, four flush mount rod holders and two paddle and rod tie downs that ensure you have enough room for multiple rods, nets and other fishing gear. Little convenient options have also been added to THE CATCH 100 like a set of 4 scupper plugs, a forward molded paddle rest, an angler ruler, and bottle holder. Finally, THE CATCH 100 offers a large rear tank well with bungee cords that will easily fit a milk crate packed with the rest of your gear. Our unique manufacturing process allows us to include additional flotation inside the hull of all of our sit-on-tops in order to meet or surpass ABYC Standards. This overall process keeps our kayaks lighter than the competition while making them even more solid and buoyant. Made with our patented RAM-X™ PREMIUM material, an exceptionally durable high molecular weight polyethylene that contains a top layer of advanced resin, which provides more rigidity while still being conveniently lightweight, THE CATCH 100 will provide years of fishing adventure sure to fuel stories worth sharing.

Reviews & Questions

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall great yak for the money Very solid construction Lighter than most in its class considering all the extras. Front hatch not a dry box but excellent for extra storage and perfect for hull mount transducer for my fish finder. Handles fairly well stability wise in the Gulf, though if paddling a long way, it's a bit like paddling a tugboat. That's the trade off though for high stability. I would definitely recommend this as a great starter yak for minor salt fishing inshore and excellent for ponds and rivers. It accomplishes the mission of getting you on the water and fishing, as well as giving you a bit of durability and style.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Had the fortune to try out this Kayak before I bought one, not disappointed at all. I do bird Photography and upgraded to this one for more stability. love it., yes it is not made for white water as someone posted above and am sure it will take on some water splashing over the front on a windy day, guess what, so does every other kayak, what do you expect and yes it will blow around like every other one, its only 10 ft. anyway, I have no problem taking my big lens camera out with me like I did with my other Kayak just needed a little more room, Just use common sense !! would recommend this to anyone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great yak, needed better tracking, here,s the fix. Tracking was the only thing that was a problem, not real bad ,just wanted better! Order a Skeg , less then 20 dollar , 100 % fixed. Glued the base on , it was a 8 inch skeg ,cut 3 inches off , left the screws out ,drilled the hole out to 1/8 inch n tied a paracord to it. OK HERES WHAT IT DID! Before with wind blowing hard the kayak would go backwards across the lake, with the Skeg on it goes across the lake front first. Hard to believe the difference it made! That was the simplest way for me to describe it, but so much better! PERFECT YAK NOW! The review by Danny is correct!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent Fishing Kayak Like a lot of you, I read every review and did my homework on every fishing kayak in my price range. After a few weeks of repeated searches and a lot of reading, I decided on the Catch 100. She is home and I got to test her out! This post might be a little long but I feel that I have to share because I see so many others wanting information on the 100. The moment I sat down in her, I knew she was going to be very stable! That was in every review that I read. But!!!!!! Yes I said but. The first few strokes of the paddle, I was a little upset. The tracking was disappointing to me. I may have been use to my girlfriends Dagger but to much left and right for me. Not only that, but this is a wide kayak, you are not going to win any marathons with it. With this being said, let me tell you why I fell in love with the Catch 100. Let's start by fixing the problem that I mentioned above. I was using a paddle that was only 230 cm long. My hands would occasionally hit the side of the kayak. I also believe this is what was causing the tracking problem. My girlfriend was with me and her paddle was 240 cm. We switched paddles for a mile or two and there was a huge difference. The tracking was 10 Xs better and the speed was also better. (You still won't win any speed races.....lol). I plan on buying a new paddle. Probably 250 cm but would like to go bigger if possible. The stability of this kayak is unreal. I didn't try to stand up on it yet but I'm a 50 yr old man with bum ankles so that day may not come. The seat is unreal. Six hours on the lake and not a single problem. Very comfortable. I also loved the two positions on the seat. Up high, I'm plenty comfortable and can see perfectly to my fishing targets. The room for storage is awesome. I could have carried more gear but I was just testing her out yesterday Let's talk about the 4 fishing rod holders for a bit. The two in the back can easily be reached from a sitting position in your yak. I'm 6'1" and 260 pounds and this was no problem. I only bring this up because I read a few reviews that complained about it. If I can do it, anyone can. The two up front, at first, I thought were worthless. They actually came in handy. Let's face it, you can't paddle with a rod in them. But, a pair of long nosed pliers fit in them and if you need to retie a lure, this makes it a helluva lot easier than laying it in your lap. I made use of them. Lol I really have so much more to say but I will leave it at this. If you need to cover a lot of ground in the lake, this is a slow kayak. The tracking and speed is good with a bigger paddle. If you are looking for a fishing kayak, this is it. Once you start fishing from it, she won't let you down. Stable and comfy and stays in place. The platform is perfect! I hope this helps in others looking for a kayak. I would rate it a 4 out of 5 overall! I can't wait to start adding accessories! I'm very happy! I'm a proud member of the Catch family!!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great kayak. Worth the money. I bought the family a bunch of sit on kayaks. I lasted about 30 minutes in mine when my back started hurting because back rest was too low. Started looking for a kayak with a high comfortable back rest/seat. Found this one at my local shop. I am super pleased with it. Went for an hour the other day without any complaints. Now I have to deck it out with fishing gear. Would highly recommend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for why I purchased it I have a Titan 13.5 which is a fishing kayak and it's heavy. I purchased this one to put in the back of the truck and is easily accessible. It is light enough to carry anywhere. This is not a rapids kayak, this style of seat is the only style to buy, it is very comfortable. I have stood up and fished very stable, for under 700$ I feel satisfied with it. Good luck

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stable and comfortable This really is a great Kayak for the price. Very comfortable, stable and it's easy to add accessories to. Tracking is it's down fall though, but it's good enough that I can deal with it. It's not great for heavier currents either, but it's a fishing Kayak not a white water kayak, so that wasn't something I was necessarily looking for when buying this Kayak. I have now done 2, seven hour Floats down the river and fished with it on several lakes and am very happy with this product.

What is the best method of carrying a catch 100 on a roof rack. I understand J racks are not that good for this hull design

Asked by: TB
Generally, we would suggest laying it flat on a roof rack upside down. If you are using foam blocks then place the kayak right side up. Make sure to properly secure it and to adjust your speed when carrying items on the top of your car.

Could someone please let me know what is the size of the back storage area? Looking for the length and width of the area to know what size of container would fit.

Asked by: Byklum25
The rear tank well is not a perfect rectangle. But here are some dimensions to help you out. The length varies approximately between 13.5" (34 cm) and 15" (38 cm) depending on the width of your item. The width varies approximately between 15" (38 cm) and 20" (51 cm) depending on the length of your item. It is designed to easily fit a milk crate. I hope this helps!

I am wanting to install a anchor trolley system on the catch 100. Looking for suggestions on what kind of trolley to use and the best spot to mount it. Example: top of seem line or just under the seem line

Asked by: Brian2124
Unfortunately, we are unable to recommend a particular set-up. What we can say is that anytime you are installing something on your kayak that requires you to cut into the boat, we recommend it being done above the water-line to minimize the possibility of leaks. Also note that any modifications you do, void the manufacturer's warranty in the immediate area surrounding your modifications. Nevertheless, there are many YouTube DIYers who have created videos on this subject. I would suggest watching some of those.
