Reviews & Questions

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Yak works well I have had this boat for a couple months now, works well, tracks well, easy to paddle and moves well through the water. Stability is somewhat an issue if you want to stand. I'm 210 pounds and can stand in it but it's sketchy. I agree with the other review, fish ruler is not in an ideal spot, would like a cup holder, and the rod holder is to far forward(I'm 6'1 and it's a reach for me). For the price I don't think you can go wrong. I looked for used kayaks found some deals but in the end I thought this was the best fit for me. Overall, I am satisfied, works great for me and always looking for an excuse to get it in the water.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great kayak for people getting started I recently purchased this kayak and have taken it out. Honestly I couldn't of had a better experience with my first kayak. I've seen a lot of people on other pages saying how these boats will not track cotrectly. I'm obviously new to this but I seemed to manage just fine. Maybe if you were in the kayak tracking Olympics or something, sure it's probably not the best. If your just out paddling around to catch some bass you'll be fine. Has great storage as you can see. Couple things I didn't like the measuring tape is in a horrible location and looks like the guy at the store slapped a sticker on it while retrieving it from the back. No cup holder. The forward rod holder is pretty far forward I'm average height so there's that. With that said those are nit picky things overall though fantastic boat. Does everything I need it to do.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Fishing Platform! I bought the Pelican Premium Enforcer 120X in late November 2017. I love it! Very easy to customize. I have added another rod holder and a Humminbird Piranhamax 4 depth finder. I have been slaying striped bass and hybrid striped bass for the last two months. Stable and seaworthy. I am usually fishing in unprotected open waters of the lakes that I fish in and have not felt uncomfortable at all!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from First kayak This is my first kayak It's a lot of fun I've customized it a little bit I've had it for couple of months. Stability is not great but ok and yes I have turned it over had a big fish on did not shift my weight fast enough and over I went lost $230. Worth of gear and my phone I put downriggers on the front after that. But I love it great for the price moves threw the water good.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great kayak This kayak has everything you could need. But the bad thing is that the rod holder is way to far away for me to reach and I'm 6'5" it does have great stabilization and it does have a cup holder on it just that the cup holder is only for drinks with a cap on and the cup holder is located in between the rod holder and the port hole right in front of the seat it's that indent on the kayak.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Kayak Great Kayak. One thing though, the seat reclines back too far and is not adjustable. There should be a strap included to wrap around the back of the seat to adjust tension to sit more upright when you row.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pelican wow I bought this pelican 120 a couple of weeks ago. This thing will handle some water. It's looking enough the wind doesn't beat you to death and ease of paddling is nice. We cruised the intercoastal waterway around Morehead and Beaufort.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not ideal for fishing. This kayak is not ideal for fishing. It cuts through the water pretty good making it fast, but it is very unstable. Rod holders are hard to reach and if you are just a little unbalanced you will tip over. Lots of storage and is light. If you want a kayak for the price this will do, but if you want a fishing kayak, then buy one that you can stand in. I regret buying this kayak.

At 6'6" 248#s, long legs and high centeroid (big shoulders), will this kayak be stable enough to paddle on class 3 rapids. ?? Colorado river or Eagle river. I assume you would tie down your fly rods while paddling the sketchy part of the rapids.

Asked by: Big Jim
All of our kayaks are made for calm waters, we do not recommended bringing them out in the rapids were the waters are rougher. Your height and weight would be a fine match for this kayak as it is a 12 foot sit-on-top kayak offering a lot of leg space with a weight capacity of 350 lbs
